What are A.M. and P.M.? Do you remember how many hours there are in one day? Yes! There are 24 hours in every day. What is the difference between A.M and P. M.? How does it connect to our daily activities?
This week 2nd graders learned about A.M. and P. M. through exploring analog and digital clock. In this lesson they learned how to tell the difference between A.M. and P. M. by thinking about how they relate to their day. The learners have already known that some of the units that they use to measure time are seconds, minutes, hours, and days. Students were asked to identify whether certain activities are happening in the "AM" or the "PM".
I eat my breakfast at 6. 30 A.M.
My father goes home in the evening at 4.00 P.M.
They had time to think and discuss the process of telling time. Hopefully this activity allows them to take their responsibility of their own learning and become independent thinkers. (Yustika Dahana)
