EDISI 09/IX/2016-2017 - (Grade 11) This week the 11th graders completed the task on the worksheet titled circulatory system. The formed small groups and discussed the questions on the worksheet. They did the discussions to support the use of the source book provided in class.
The circulatory system is a vast network of organs and vessels that is responsible for the flow of blood, nutrients, hormones, oxygen, and other gases to and from cells. Without the circulatory system, the body would not be able to fight diseases or maintain a stable internal environment — such as proper temperature and pH — known as homeostasis. While many view the circulatory system, also known as the cardiovascular system, as simply a highway for blood, it is made up of three independent systems that work together: the heart (cardiovascular); lungs (pulmonary); and arteries, veins, coronary and portal vessels (systemic).
Students did the worksheet fast because they were actively involved in the discussion and were able to make use of the existing source. The result of this week's meeting is that students are now able to answer all of the questions easily. (Budi Purwanto)
